So your sites up and running and you have done your Seo homework and are getting traffic but you just don’t see a return on your products….this is a pretty common issue I have come across both on my own sites and people I’ve talk to or helped.
The things is traffic is worthless if it’s not the traffic your after…. It’s like selling apples at a fruit stand when everyone is asking for oranges.
This is why it’s must to study and analyze the stats on your site…. There are so many free tools that if you have traffic you should be able to find a way to monetize it if you know who’s coming to your website.
Obviously google analytics is a big help but don’t just look at unquies I mean really spend some time… What country, language, city, time of day… Which pages are popular and which seem to be the exit page. You have to understand your visitors before you can sell them anything.
I know of a site which gets no less then 2,000 and spikes up to 4,000 daily unquies yet they are not making money. Simply because they are trying to sell things that the visitors have no interest in.
Profiling is the secret to most successfully marketing efforts… Groupin is no longer sending nail salon deals to men!!! They are segmenting the list so even if they only send 20 emails they are so targeted that it converts better then blind marketing.they rather sell 10 power tool deals to guys then not sell them at all
So study your stats and if there is traffic… There is money to be made!!
