Allot of times we start something and we don’t Finnish, we have all done this at somepoint…but why? We always seem to blame time or some outside reason for not going through with what we were so excited about when we first thought about it.

Well Motivation is key… so no matter what aspect of your life you are taking about..money, health, home without the right motivation or support group very few ever accomplish their goals. this is why its so important to have the right people around you or surround yourself with what you need to make you successfull.

I can’t tell you what that is..maybe a pictures everyone to remind you of your goal, a song, books, friends..but u MUST surround yourself with success and people to help you as your struggle to your goal.

6:00AM bootcamp

Aside from online marketing I’m also a Sensie ( japanese martial arts instructor ) for over a yr now I have been doing a workout program for adults which is basically a MMA bootcamp. Just recently I added a 6am class which as much as I hate to wake up early, I have to admit I’m starting to enjoy it allot. I find starting the day early to really help with becoming focused for the day… You wake up and the sun is just coming up and you start to think what needs to get done as well as feeling your day is much longer. I also see a clear difference in my morning group which is crazy to come workout so early. They are their with a true focus to perform vs the afternoon group which has been torn down after a days worth of stress and activity. So this post was to make you consider trying a different time of the day to work or accomplish a goal. Mix it up and don’t do the normal take a random time be it 4am or 6am and make an effort to push yourself before ur day has even started. You may surprise yourself with the results

The SEO Check List

So you have a brand new website and you want to start wth some SEo well below is a simple check list that you need to go down and make sure you have on your site before you get into link building.

- Title,SEO URls,meta tags – have all your pages ready before you do anything

- Google Sitemap – Dont forget to submit to google

- Internal Linking – link bewteen your own pages with keywords

- Keyword Density – try to have no less then 3-5%

- Social Media – dont forget those FB, twiiter, youtube accounts!

Seo is like real estate the more properties with great location the more money you can make. So since we have no control on Seo aside from our efforts is always good to work with a few domains and different niches. This way You increase your chances for success but focusing on a few potential sites and not putting it all into one. Now this is only of your building small sites for content or a single affiliate product. I don’t suggest this for the newbie looking to get into a niche or start selling a new product… If ur new give it your all with 1 and strong, have a mad man cycle. Something like writing 4-5 pieces of content daily, submissions, forums, blogs ect do it for 30 days and watch the result come in!!!

If your doing SEO on your site, then you know how important inbound links are. So surfing the web is a bit of a pain when it comes to find quality links to help you boost your ranking. So i thought id take a minute to mention SEO Elite by Brad Callen. I have had this software for a few years now and have to say i really enjoy it and found that the money was well spent. there are tons of tools on the web and services that offer a similar product and honestly you could do it yourself manually but time is money so the more time you save the more you can make. I personally like the software how its easy to use and reports back sites backlinks and keyword stats ect..

The software has helped me get on the 1st and 2nd page for several keywords. Since its for clients i can’t get to specific but if you use the tool it can help you replicate what others have done to get on page 1

For a newbie SEo guy i believe it s great start, Im also eager to start to try out Shoemoneys service but it is a bit more pricey if your just getting started. Shoe the man so I have confidence in what he is offering will pay off in the long run.

So you have your website up and running and now we need to find some traffic to make it all worth wild! lets start with some SEO articles…pick a few keywords that best describe your website and start to write some original articles no less then 400 words. make sure to include your keyword in those articles. Also try to include the keywords about 3-4% in the whole article. So for every 100 words, use the keyword 3-4 times

Why sell apples when customers want oranges

So your sites up and running and you have done your Seo homework and are getting traffic but you just don’t see a return on your products….this is a pretty common issue I have come across both on my own sites and people I’ve talk to or helped.

The things is traffic is worthless if it’s not the traffic your after…. It’s like selling apples at a fruit stand when everyone is asking for oranges.

This is why it’s must to study and analyze the stats on your site…. There are so many free tools that if you have traffic you should be able to find a way to monetize it if you know who’s coming to your website.

Obviously google analytics is a big help but don’t just look at unquies I mean really spend some time… What country, language, city, time of day… Which pages are popular and which seem to be the exit page. You have to understand your visitors before you can sell them anything.

I know of a site which gets no less then 2,000 and spikes up to 4,000 daily unquies yet they are not making money. Simply because they are trying to sell things that the visitors have no interest in.

Profiling is the secret to most successfully marketing efforts… Groupin is no longer sending nail salon deals to men!!! They are segmenting the list so even if they only send 20 emails they are so targeted that it converts better then blind marketing.they rather sell 10 power tool deals to guys then not sell them at all

So study your stats and if there is traffic… There is money to be made!!

Custom Software or Out of Box

I am person that loves to get into new projects and there is the ongoing internal debate for me on building custom solutions for sites or just find a 3rd party solution. I my self am not a programmer, i have some experience with php and i can do html but that’s about. At this point I have done both paths and i will have to admit i lost allot of money when i went the custom solution path so here is my advice to you.

So what to do….. I tell everyone first search for a 3rd party solotuion or service provider. this will help you get up and running quickly and gives you a testing ground for your idea. The only issue is finding a solution that fits what your trying to do…in many cases you may have to not have some features you wish you could offfer your potential clients or site visitors. I can say that 3rd party has resulted in more succesfull ventures and projects.

It offered me support from a company, upgrades and i was up and running in no time.

Going custom is not bad either when there is no one that can provide you a solution BUT be prepared to wait a few months, spend some capital and possibly have development issue if your team or hired developer does not understand what your are trying to do.

Nowadays I go with 3rd party solutions either free or a fixed price and build from there. if the site starts to product revenue then i either consider custom solutions for the 3rd party software or then i go and build my own custom site. this way i know its working and there is revenue in place to jusitfy the site

363 days to make a million

We are already 2 days from 2013 which May seem like nothing but that’s 48hrs we will not get back.

So whatever you have planned for 2012 let’s make it happen. The best thing you can do it take Control of your time and realize you have to use your time with perfect efficiency. I’m currently sitting in the office at my karate studio after teaching class and writing this post via my iphone while I sit down for a quick break.

So find a way to use technology and modern services to make u be in 3 places at once.

For example I use an auto tweeting service to post on Facebook and twitter for events I already know I will be doing… In all honest some of my blog post I write ahead of time and set to autopost
